A Brief History: From Mill to Market
The L&L Market building dates back to 1929 and began as the Se-Ling Hosiery Mill. Over the years, the structure served various businesses, from the Genesco factory to Madison Mill. Tamay Ozari acquired the property in 1996, initially housing his L&L Restaurant Equipment Company. More recently, his passion for preservation and community enrichment transformed the property into the vibrant marketplace it is today. Ozari turned down offers to demolish the building for apartment complexes, opting instead to create “the coolest mall in Nashville.”
